I went to Supergraph today, the debut of a Contemporary Graphic Art Fair in Melbourne. I remember thinking when I first heard this term that it would be about superheroes and graphics, but I guess that was only mildly true.
While there was a gamut of artists and designers on display, I was particularly struck by the fashion illustrations of Angie Rehe, and the kitschtastic art of Sarah Beetson.
I was so inspired by Rehe’s brief demonstration I drew my own illustration tonight based on her tutorial. What say you—am I fashion editorial material?
Meanwhile I am really, really regretting not buying the huge box of COPIC markers in Tokyo WHEN I HAD THE CHANCE. Agh.
